Christmassy Shows

Hello hello! 

We have some really fun Christmas shows this week! 

-Wednesday, December 14th (tomorrow) at 8:30pm we'll be singing a few songs at @icehousempls with @iamrachelkurtz (along with a bunch of her talented friends) 

-AND this Saturday, Dec. 17th we get to sing at @groundswell_mn in St. Paul for their Cheer & Beer event, 7-10pm! Come get a Christmas drink and sing some carols with us!

Recording!!

We've been working our asses off, recording vocals for this album!

Pete and Jer from The Homestead Records are doing the recording for us, and we are LOVING collaborating with them on this. They also play in a fantastic local band called We Are the Willows - check em out! 

We are really proud of what we've done so far, and we can't wait to share it with you.

We hope to release in the late Fall!

Ten Grinches, plus two

Here is our first Christmas EP - we hope it's just your size.

Jess arranged and recorded it all tucked away in her basement bedroom, in the midst of and just underneath the bumping chaos made by a family of five, plus one yapping dog, who live upstairs.

And so it is with Christmas, who visits us in and as a happy mess of family, laughter, tears, and all of that process of both grinching and un-grinching our too small hearts, may they grow ever bigger.

Hello friends! December is here and we wanted to let you know about some shows coming up that we're real excited about!

Monday, December 8th @ Shamrock's Pub 7PM

This will be a storytelling event so come enjoy some music AND some stories!

Saturday, December 13th @ Groundswell 7PM $5

We're playing our annual holiday show Cheer & Beer with our incredibly talented friends Har-Di-Har! Meet the Rush River brewers with a Rush River tap takeover. Also, free Rush River pint glasses to the first 20 people that buy the specially spiced firkin!

Thursday, December 18th @ The Nicollet 8PM

Happy hour is from 7:30-10PM so come grab a beer and bring some canned food! The Homestead Records is partnering with Pabst Blue Ribbon to host this event, "Cans For A Can". The first 50 people to come in with canned food will receive a free PBR Tallboy!

So there you have it folks. Come on out and bring your Santa hats!

Daytrotter Goodness

Our hearts are full of popcorn clouds as we write this.

Over the summer we traveled out to Rock Island, Illinois to record a session with Daytrotter. It was an incredible experience and we've been on the edge of our seats with excitement waiting for the tracks to be released on daytrotter.com.

Well, today we are proud to announce that our session is here! We're still hammering out the details of our full length album, but in the meantime you can head over to daytrotter.com and download these tracks! It's only $4 for a month of daytrotter membership which gives you access to download every session any band has ever recorded with them.

Anyone ever have a turning point in their nightmares, where suddenly everything impossible becomes possible? Scary things turn into cute things, broken doors turn into shields, and then all of these things turn into songs.

We are Eustace the Dragon - an ugly and honest brute. 

But honesty is the beginning of all beauty, and we promise to sing only what we find to be true in our changing.

Thanks for listening. And thanks for pushing us to finally record a full length album.
